... and that's because I'm a working woman now! Yeppie! I just started my new job this week. I really like where I'm working and the people I'm working with! Job searching was stressful but I am so happy that I didn't find something else. God knew that this job was perfect for me and he knew the wait was worth it.

I feel bad that I have to leave Emma at home during a part of the day. However, the job is close to where we live and my hours are such that Emma only has to be crated a couple of hours in a row each day. I wish we could leave her out in the house while we're gone... but she's still a puppy and, though she hasn't really destroyed anything she wasn't meant to, we feel she's still too unpredictable to be left alone.
Hopefully there will be a new post coming this weekend. We definitely have to do something exciting with the dog this week since she's not used to so much time in her crate.
So, I've been enjoying my days working, but I miss my bestie soo much! We got to spend a lot of time together over the holiday break and I got used to seeing her. Every New Years Eve Sarah and I meet for lunch at J. Alexanders. This year during our lunch, I found out something about my dear friend that I never knew... ready for it...? A little background first. Sarah is 23 and a 4.0 GPA grad student studying to be a high school English teacher. Okay, so we were discussing her future plans regarding working and living expenses. This is when I learned she doesn't know how banks work and doesn't have her own account. She gives her current pay checks to her mom who takes them to the bank for her.... Um, I've had my own bank account since I was 16. Sarah also informed me that she expects her parents to support her when she works full time!! I was cracking up. She believes that there should be a 'cushion' year or a year where they wean her off making her pay for only one bill at a time. Ohhh I want to live in Sarah's world!!!!!!

this is really embarrassing
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! What's the new job?
ReplyDeleteIt was just a part-time CSR position with a local electrician. But only after a week and a half of working, the company kind of tanked and I had nothing to do. So they were paying me to sit there and do nothing. Obviously they couldn't afford to do that. Sooo I ended up working there for less than two weeks. I was bummed.
