Final Soccer Game

So we had our last soccer game tonight. Sadly, we lost our playoff game so the season came to a close. The bugs and the heat/humidity got really uncomfortable at the end of the season, but I'm still sad it's over.  I am so glad Miguel encouraged me to play. I had a great time and have become more confident in my soccer playing abilities - though they are still limited. Our Monday night soccer games were a good way to socialize too. Because of this new experience I think I'm willing to explore other beginner sports leagues. I'm thinking about maybe checking out tennis. We'll see if I'm brave enough to play a sport without Miguel there by my side... =)

I finally remembered to bring a camera to the game tonight, however, most of the pictures turned out really blurry. But below are a few of members of our team and some mediocre game shots.

Elizabeth, me, Madison

I guess the league didn't print many number options when three of our teammates had the number 6.

I like this because everything is blurry besides Mig

One of our star players, Brian.

Sunday Morning Football

Emma and I spent our morning watching Miguel play two flag football games. It was super hot. Emma checked out during the second game and hung out under the beach chair I brought with me. The boys won their first game and lost the second. We had to wait an hour in between games, lost a player so we were down a man during the second game, and it was a 12 o'clock game so it was much warmer than the first 10 am game. We had a good time and Emma is worn out! I took lots of pictures. Enjoy!

Brandon and Emma hung out in between games!

These guys had a wrist play book thing... a little much for flag football?

Girls Night

At Jen's & Friends: Margaret, me, and Jennifer

This weekend the girls in my young married Bible study and I went out for a much needed girls night. We started out the night at Jennifer's house and ate some pizza with the families. Then the girls and I headed out to Jen's & Friends to try some fun martinis.

Margaret checking out the long list of martinis to choose from.

Jen's & Friends has so many interesting drinks. Collectively we sampled a watermelon lemon drop, watermelon-pear, Savannah bee vanilla, PB&J, Basil Lemonade (sooooooo good), white elephant and Reeses.

After sipping on some martinis the girls and I walked down to the Bohemian hotel to enjoy the rooftop views. However, it was really busy and very loud. So we checked out of there pretty quickly. After walking down River Street and running into some friends, we went to Savannah Smiles and were really happy to get a table right up front!

Yay for girls night!

We had very red tongues thanks to a strawberry drink the three of us shared.

There were a lot of Florida State fans at Savannah Smiles so Margaret had to combat their fight song with her Gator chop.

Margaret and her Gator chop... eww.

We had a super fun night! Love hanging out with friends and having a good time! Can't wait till the next one!
