Christmas Is About Giving And Sharing?

For Christmas this year Santa brought both puppies new toys... even though some doggies may have been naughty. Emma got a Christmas tree and Jack got a snowman. For some reason the snowman has been the prefered toy.

So there has been lots of this going on...

However, Emma eventually re-discovered her Christmas tree and all is right in the Amador puppy world again!

Celebrating Christmas (Bible Study Style)

Last week Miguel and I hosted our Young Married Bible Study's Christmas party. We really enjoyed spending time with friends and were so pleased that every couple could make it! With all of our busy schedules (working in the ER, being a pilot, having small children, etc. etc. etc.) it's hard to get us all together in the same place on the same night.

The McDaniels

The Roulos

The Howells

The "Newlyweds" Jim and Amy

Miguel and me

I love themed parties and this was super easy since we had already decorated for Christmas.

Everyone brought food to share so it wasn't much work for Miguel and me. Look at those cute Santa napkins! You can't see it very well but I the wine stopper is also cute. It's little elf stocking legs. Someone gave that to me as a gift and it makes me smile.

I also made Mocha Hot Chocolate mixes for each of the couples in our small group. I just love mason jars!

Once everyone arrived we dug in to the yummy food that everyone brought and played some Christmas themed games. However, the highlight of the night was playing catch phrase.

We played a couple of rounds of men vs. women. They were very close rounds, but the men dominated the night. Pout! Ladies, we'll have our comeback another night!

I'm so glad everyone could make it and I look forward to another year a good friendships and fellowship with these great couples!

Twinkle Lights

I love Christmas time! One of my favorite things about Christmas is our tree! I blogged last December about how I collect ornaments all throughout the year that commemorate special occasions, big events, or places I've been. It really is so much fun to decorate the tree each Christmas and remember all those special memories.

One new ornament this year is the red YMCA one. I stumbled upon it at work one day and they said I could take it home! It happens to be hanging next to an ornament I got when I was working in accounting back in 2007 and a children's Crayola crayon ornament from 1992.  The tree definitely is a story book that chronicles our lives. How fun! I'm so thankful that my parents started this tradition for me!

Hopefully Santa will bring us an ornament for Jackson this year!

I love coming home after a long day and only having the Christmas tree lights on and no other lamps.

The house is going to feel so bare when we have to take down the tree in January.
