Clothed In Love

The way to a man's heart may be by his stomach, but I believe clothes are the way to a woman's heart! In that spirit, I decided to create some little things for my niece. Since we live on opposite sides of the country, and I won't be able to wrap my arms around her very often, I am settling for wrapping her in love in the form of clothes!

The morning after we all learned that she was, in fact, a girl, I headed out to gather everything I would need. I purchased a few blank onesies, ribbon, tulle, and some accessories like socks and some newborn shoes I just couldn't resist.

First, I got to work on the computer and created some images to iron onto the onesies. I made a heart with my brother-in-law's coffee company's name on it, a University of Georgia G, and a map of the USA with hearts over Savannah and Seattle with the words, "Loved From Coast to Coast".

Next, I made two tu-tu's out of tulle. I keep seeing these everywhere and had to make some for my niece. She'll definitely rock them. I also made some coordinating headbands. I'm such a sucker for big bows on little girls! Okay, I'm kinda a sucker for big bows on most things! =) But on little girls they are just precious!

Baby Ray doesn't know it yet, but she truly is loved from coast to coast. I can't wait to spoil this little
girl!

My sister also blogged about these little gifts I made as well as some ones I didn't mention on here. I feel that I should say something about the painting I sent her. A friend of mine from middle school, Anna, recently made her sister a painting with the same quote as a baby gift. My sister saw it and since she has always loved that quote she asked me to paint something for her baby as well. Just wanted to give credit to Anna for the original idea! Here is a picture of the one she made! So pretty!!!

You can see the one I painted on Sarah's blog. =) Love that quote! Great idea, Anna!
