Happy December Dog Days

Good news from Savannah! It's December and it's FINALLY cold! Yay!!!!

Emma and I went to the park this morning, beating out three other dogs who had the same idea... and just in time! Phew!

Fierce looking Emma!

Oooohhhh it's good to be a dog and rolllllll in the grass!

Emma likes to scare hidden birds out of the tall grass... even after they've all flown away she likes to make sure they're all gone!

Beautiful, cold morning!

Running = Happy Doggie

"So much fun mom!"

Boing, boing, boing

Happiness captured

Finding a stick = happiness x 2

In other news, Emma still loves being under, and the Christmas tree has provided a great new spot for being under. However, my poor Christmas tree skirt is wrinkled constantly now. But happy puppy equals puppy not chewing on anything... so that's a win in my book.

Sick Puppy at Christmas Time

Emma hasn't been feeling well today. Pout. In the morning I get up with Miguel and I take the dog out, feed her, make Miguel's lunch and breakfast, give him a hug and a kiss, and then Emma and I go back to bed when he leaves. Emma curls up next to me and we both get some more rest. However, this morning she was restless and kept moving around and jumping on and off the bed. Then I realized she was shaking. The last time she acted that way was when she ate the tennis ball and had an upset stomach for the day. So Emma and I camped out in the bathroom where, if she got sick, it would be easier to clean up. She was insisting on cuddles. She wanted to be on. I felt awful for her. I wanted to make her feel better so badly.

Poor puppy.

She seems to be feeling better now. She's not shaking any more. Maybe it's the Christmas cheer Miguel and I put up yesterday!

Miguel was a BIG help unwinding the lights and playing with the lights so they would all light up

All we need is some presents under the tree

I'll try to remember to get a night time picture... prettier when the lights show up.

We don't have a fireplace, so we had to improvise

These usually just have some rope wound around them, but the candy is festive!
Also, over thanksgiving break I bought these wooden wall hangings at a consignment store. Thought they were pretty. What do you think?

I also baked a new cake this morning... check out my Bored to Baking blog!
