Emma and Uga

My parents have a ceramic Uga in their basement. I've blogged about him before. Emma doesn't like Uga. We think she got this from Miguel's side of the family. ;) Tonight she re-discovered him and Miguel captured the two of them 'playing' on camera. Luke was hanging around too. 

Over the river and through the woods...

So we finally made it to Atlanta! Yay! It took us a while to get out the door yesterday morning due to things like the picture below where Miguel decided to play tug-of-war with a sock and Emma. Ha, they're so funny.

Emma was a bit of a pain on the car ride. She was nervous and complained the whole drive. She also insisted on sitting in one of our laps. We accidently packed the seatbelt deep in the trunk under loads of suitcases etc. else we would have strapped her in the back. We gave her benadryl but it didn't do anything. 

When we got home Emma was soooo excited to see her Aunt Bailey and Uncle Luke. She was sitting in Miguel's lap with her head out the window when we were driving up my parent's street. Once she recognized where she was she got so excited she tried to jump out the window! Later, my mom, Miguel, and I took the three dogs to the river to get some of their energy out.

We met some new friends at the river. There were three, 10 month old labs! The three labs and Emma had a great time running around!! 

Luke was a little overwhelmed, but the other dogs were very submissive to him. 

Bailey, of course, had a bit of an attitude so didn't play very much.

So much fun already! We are so happy to be home and Emma is ecstatic to be with other dogs! Can't wait for the rest of the holiday!!! Yay for family and Christmas time!!

Christmas at the McDaniels!

Our young marrieds' Bible study Christmas party was tonight! Unfortunately, only two couples (including ourselves) were able to make it. So it was just us and the hosts. We had fun though! We ate yummy treats, enjoyed conversation, and played some games! We had a great time, but we missed our other friends! Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas! This was a great way to start off our Christmas holiday!

Also... Miguel and I got a Christmas card from my sister today... she created a really cute gift card holder. Of course Emma thought she got a gift in the mail. Spoiled puppy. Thanks Sarah and Jared!!! Miss you guys!
