Oh No! A Roll in the Dirt

Look what they've done to the field that Emma loves to play in!!! It's being covered in mounds of dirt. This is so frustrating. Emma still enjoys playing in it, of course. However, now taking Emma to the field is a messy ordeal and she can't run around in huge circles as well as she could in the big open field. 

They keep on adding more and more mounds of dirt.

Emma loves running up and down the dirt 'hills'. They also make a great opportunity for her to partake in one of her all time favorite past times... digging.

That's a crab? I'm not ever going back in the ocean.

Okay, not a stingray, but a horseshoe crab. Creepy. It was LARGE

Miguel and I took Emma to Fort Pulaski this morning and she was soooo cute hopping around trying to pounce on crabs. We love it when she bounces up in the air with all four feet tucked! 

Miguel and I had planned on getting in the water with Emma but the beaches at the fort aren't the best. There were tons of jelly fish, shells, and even a stingray! 

Emma doesn't like to swim if she can't feel the ground beneath her feet. So if the stick drifted too far she would turn around and head back to the sand. By the time we decided to leave, she was doggie paddling all over the place though!

Emma had so much fun! She had to bark a lot at the cannons the fort was firing off for the tourist. But we distracted her with fetching a stick. She's a little wet still from swimming, but she's exhausted... that's a good trade off as far as we're concerned.
